Berlin event agency Flimmer brings Carlos Gonzalez on board as director. His ambition for Flimmer: to make the agency better known outside the entertainment industry while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
Since February 15, Carlos Gonzalez is the new director of the live communication & event agency Flimmer. Most recently, the experienced manager was in charge of coordination for Malteser responsible for the construction and overall planning of the largest Corona vaccination center in Berlin. Before Gonzalez worked in the event sector for several years before switching to the agency side of the business.
Here he worked for well-known agencies such as GREY and Spray as a as managing director. For clients such as Axel Springer, WallDecaux, Katjes, Sony Mobile or Dyson, he developed strategies and staged brand worlds, including Becks «Taste the World».
Gonzalez is big fan of Flimmer’s creative public stunts
After a detour into the world of NGOs, Gonzalez returned to the communications industry. What excited him most about Flimmer was the visionary creative aspect that resonates in the projects of the agency.
«I was impressed by how well and quickly Flimmer adapted during the pandemic and positioned itself for the event industry despite the difficult situation. Digital and hybrid large-scale events are now part of the team’s identity,» says the new director.
He continues, «You can see in each of their projects that the goal was to make it memorable through special unforgettable moments. I’m a big fan of their creative public stunts in particular, so I’m looking forward to working with the team and the entire Webedia Group.»
Potential for flicker: brands that want short-term attention with high reach
With his team, Gonzalez Entertainment will serve clients such as Netflix, Disney, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. and Microsoft, and will implement projects such as the upcoming German Computer Games will be implemented. In addition to strengthening relationships with existing clients, the communications expert also wants to successively expand the corporate sector.
He sees potential especially for brands that want to achieve short-term attention with high reach.

Gonzalez takes over the director position from Özlem Roden, who left the company last last year to pursue new challenges.
